Puppies (and a Loan)!
Racing had puppies at practice to promote the “Pups at the Pitch” promotion this Friday. The Kentucky Humane Society brought four brothers introduce to the team. All four are available for adoption (pending Maddie Prohaska not adopting all four) on Friday at Lynn Family Stadium. As a cat person I think other people’s dogs are awesome. “Gilbert” will be the honorary canine captain for the match against Gotham. If he gets loose and bites Sam Kerr (who as a Chelsea legend I hate on principle) I wouldn’t be mad.
On the news front, Racing signed Jordan Fusco on loan (wearing #28) from San Diego until the end of the season. Quincy McMahon and Jordan were roommates at San Diego. Racing’s depth in midfield is light in general (more on that tomorrow), so a loan makes sense, even if it was likely facilitated by Racing’s more immediate shortage at the position. The ability to get players on loan closed on September 7th, but NWSL in-league movement of the non-loan variety can still occur until the roster freeze date of October 8th.
Enough nonsense…Puppies!
