The debut of the sleek new unis to a crowd of 10,000 (including 265 pups) may have been wasted on Pittsburgh. The defensive battle was more of a skirmish as both teams were clearly coming off a short week. There were some intense moments of possible goals by Aiden McFadden, Manny Perez and Adrien Perez, and Taylor Davila never seemed to slow down. The late add of Evan Davila gave the team some hope, and Amadou Dia showcased his ball-handling skills in the rare moments that the ball was not in the air.
