Always bet on Purple: Lou City 3-Las Vegas 1 — Fleur-de-lis FC
Let’s talk about Las Vegas
Here is a list of positive things about the city of Las Vegas:
Lou City lined up as:
1-Las, 2-McFadden, 3-Morris, 4-Totsch, 7-Serrano, 13-Dia, 17-T Davila (C), 23-Gleadle, 24-Jones, 25-Wilson, 31-Lambert
1st Minute
Morris with a good opportunity that goes just wide.
2nd Minute
First of many long throws by Jones, starring Gatorade Towel pictured here”
4th Minute
McFadden wins a free kick.
6th Minute
GOAL! A great run by Wilson sets up a nice finish from Gleadle. Good to have him back on the score sheet. Lou City 1 - LV 0
12th Minute
Las Vegas enjoying a lot of possession after the goal.
15th Minute
Wilson looks for another good cross, but the keeper covers.
16th Minute
Dia playing really centrally when Lou City attacks.
17th Minute
The ball bounces around the box but ultimately finds the keeper.
19th Minute
Wilson wins a penalty on a shot in the box. Not sure it was a penalty, but I see why it was awarded.
20th Minute
Davila the Elder has the penalty saved and Serrano's follow goes out for a corner. Las Vegas eventually gets out of trouble.
23rd Minute
Another promising attack is stalled when Lou City over pass.
27th Minute
Good hustle by McFadden to stop a counter.
30th Minute
The center ref shows a red card to 22-Tommy McNamara (who has the type of name a 1950s Vegas gangster might have) when he kicks out at McFadden’s face after Aiden catches him a little late.
33rd Minute
Long throw from Jones goes right to the keeper.
35th Minute
Wilson scuffs a shot, and the keeper easily saves it.
38th Minute
Wilson is having a great half and getting into good positions.
39th Minute
Goal. Las Vegas pulls even on a nice header from a long ball into the box. Lou City has it all to do again. Lou City 1 - LV 1
41st Minute
Lou City letting Las Vegas see way too much of the ball while the Lights are down a man. Then a sloppy giveaway in possession,
42nd Minute
Wilson fires one high. It feels like he might get one eventually.
45th Minute
A long throw by Jones doesn't work.
Stoppage time
An effort from Davila the Elder from the top of the box goes over.
Half Time
Lou City 1 - Divorce Capital of America 1
Las Vegas was the better team after going down a man. I expect Cruz will let the team have it a halftime.
46th Minute
There are three changes at half: Goodrum for Serrano, Lancaster for Gleadle and McCabe for McFadden. Lou City come out looking for blood.
49th Minute
Goodrum tries to find Davila who can't get his feet sorted out.
51st Minute
Some hold me back nonsense which is much ado about nothing although Vegas’ Rodriguez seems particularly interested in stirring the pot.
55th Minute
Davila isn't having his best match.
56th Minute
Goodrum almost gets on the end of one.
62nd Minute
Danny Cruz may have seen the same thing that I saw and subs of Davila for Perez leaving Lou City in a rare Davila-free state.
63rd Minute
Lambert has a good opportunity on a header.
65th Minute
Lou City has a couple more good chances, but none are finished off.
67th Minute
GOAL! Perez's free kick goes past everyone and into the net. Two in two for him and ultimately a Player of the Match award to boot. Lou City 2 -LV 1
69th Minute
Half of Las Vegas’ roster is apparently made up of hockey goons.
72nd Minute
Perez has a tamer effort saved.
77th Minute
It’s been start and stop these last several minutes.
81st Minute
Wilson makes a good run to keep the ball in. It finds its way to Goodrum, but he can't finish.
82nd Minute
Goodrum dances in the box, but he can't find the back of the net and hits the post.
84th Minute
GOAL! McCabe serves it in, Totsch has a tasty flick, Lambert heads it down and somehow Jones pushes it over the line. Lou City 3 -LV 1
87th Minute
Lambert has a header saved on a free kick from McCabe.
89th Minute
Another good effort from Goodrum goes wide.
Stoppage Time
Absolutely nothing of significance.

Lou City 3 - DraftKingsburg 1
The Boys in Purple just about put on a decent second half effort and finally put away an inferior team down to 10-men. It’s getting near crunch time and poor performances by players will surely secure them a spot on the bench or not in the matchday squad at all.
Danny Cruz was correctly displeased by the poor performance in the first half after the initial goal. It was his 100th win as Lou City coach. He couldn’t care less. This team needs to win big things, not celebrate arbitrary milestones.
Adrien Perez is glad to be back, fit, and scoring. I second that.
Josh Jones appreciated scoring his goal but lamented its lack of beauty. He confirmed that he and Goodrum were good friends as Phil seemed way more excited by his goal.
