4-25-25 Racing Practice

The weather was somehow ideal for practice this morning as the rain and storms took a quick break around 9am leaving a cool 64 degrees for the players and coaches to enjoy. The optimism of the team should be enough to bring out the sunshine in Portland this weekend as Racing travels for their match against the Thorns on Sunday. This match will be another amazing milestone for Lauren Milliet, as she becomes the first player in NWSL history to play in100 consecutive matches with the same team. Read that last sentence again and be thankful that she’s chosen Racing Louisville to be her “home away from home” as she called it this morning.

Fielding questions from media this week were Milliet, Kayla Fischer, and Coach Bev. They commented on the team’s review of film from *that* match last week and how they can course correct to stay on track this season. Coach Bev said the team was positive in their reception of feedback and she looks forward to seeing the changes in action on Sunday.

The medicine ball tosses are brought to you by Pepsi. Pepsi: when Coke just isn’t available.

Sav and Lo, I just love their energy and how they feed off each other. I’d love to see Lo serve up a pass to Sav that ends up in the goal of the Thorns this weekend. That’s probably what they’re discussing here.

Petersen and Fischer getting in their warm-ups. These are two of the more serious players on the pitch at any time.

The Barbie doll arms, great for tanning and minimizing wind resistance. Lauren Milliet and Emma Sears warming up.

Enjoyed watching the keepers practice scoring on each other; those rebounds can be tricky.

Some individual player shots for your enjoyment.

And….everything else.
